Welcome to NEW2DAD

What’s this about?

Every new blog deserves at least one post that describes what the heck this thing is. That’s what this one is about

We’re having a baby!

My wife Karla and I are expecting our first baby early next year! We have been together for 10+ years now and although things are pretty hectic in the world right now, we are excited to welcome a new addition to our little family.

What’s NEW2DAD?

NEW2DAD is a place for first-time millennial dads trying to figure out what the heck to do when they learn they are expecting.

There are plenty great dads out there making content like Dad Verb, La Guardia Cross, Beleaf in Fatherhood and The Active Dad and while they do an amazing job of sharing their fatherhood stories, there aren’t a lot of dads sharing their experiences before the kiddo arrives.

There’s where NEW2DAD comes in.

What to expect from me

Youtube videos. Subscribe to the NEW2DAD YouTube channel. I’ll be posting videos twice a month sharing my experiences as a first-time expecting dad. Some things I plan on talking about include:

  • Father’s role during the pregnancy & how to support your partner
  • Doula: what are they and why we got one
  • Baby gear I’m excited for
  • Baby gear that I’m not too sure about
  • Budgeting for a baby
  • Anything else you’d like to learn about!

Periodic blog posts. Some videos might benefit from a written article or list of resources. Some topics might be better suited as a blog as well. Either way, I want to keep posting information on here to keep an online presence. If someone on the internet stumbles upon my website, I want them to get some sort of value from it and know where to go from here.

Newsletters! My goal is to get you information as effortlessly as possible and email does just that many people. Sign up to my email newsletter down below to join the NEW2DAD community!

Let’s get this going!

If this is something you’re into, let’s get going. I’m looking forward to fatherhood and can’t wait for my little one to be here. However, I know there’s a lot that goes into that and I’m hoping that by sharing my experience online, other dads will feel confident and supported through their fatherhood journey.
